About this artwork
Pastel Daisy is a nostalgic yet surreal homage to the iconic "Daisy" fragrance world. Inspired by the whimsical energy of a Marc Jacobs advertisement, I reimagined the scene through a dreamlike, 1960s-inspired lens. The piece captures a sense of playful sophistication—a moment where high-fashion aesthetics meet a retro-pop dreamworld, celebrating the floral, airy essence of the scent in a highly stylized form.
Created in 2019, this piece demonstrates… an earlier exploration of my signature graphic linework and layered textures. I utilized gouache and ink to achieve the smooth, opaque pastel surfaces of the garment and hair. To enhance the "Mod" aesthetic, I integrated gold glitter into the geometric background shapes, adding a vintage 60s sparkle that creates a tactile contrast against the flat color fields.
Coated with UV resistant spray varnish.
