The painting is a reminder of landscapes I repeatedly encountered during a tour of America: interesting rock formations, natural arches, the vastness of the pristine landscape, the expanse of the sky – all these impressions are reflected in the painting process, not as a depiction of a specific region, like the southwestern tip of England, but as a way to discover the hidden correspondences between momentary emotional states and experienced nature.…
In this way, reality can be transformed into poetry through the medium of painting.
