In my watercolor "Moorlands I," I captured the special atmosphere of a tranquil moor—a landscape that, for me, is both mysterious and calming. The muted blue and brown tones blend with soft gradients to create an atmospheric unity, where reflections and nuances of light make the water appear almost like a mirror.
The rhythmically distributed islands of grass add natural accents and lend structure and depth to the area without disturbing the clarity… of the scene. The poetic power of this work lies precisely in the reduced color palette and the subtle contrasts of light and dark.
