About this artwork
This work, titled "Hoaxes," is a visual exploration of distortion, disinformation, and the fragmentation of truth in the contemporary era. This piece delves into the chaos of perception.
1. Concept: The Anatomy of Deception
The term "hoax" refers to a false story spread with a specific purpose. In this work, I wanted to illustrate how a lie not only obscures the truth but also distorts the identity of those who consume and repeat it.
The Hypertrophied… Gaze: Unlike my previous works where the eyes are usually closed in introspection, here I have sculpted disproportionately large and wide-open eyes. They represent a state of constant alertness and overexposure to visual stimuli that are not always real.
