Picture with volume carved from a solid block of polyurethane and painted in acrylic.
I have depicted how our passage through life leaves a short, ephemeral memory, which fades away over time until it disappears.
Our children will remember us very well, our grandchildren only certain moments, and for the following generations we will not have existed.
The left half of the painting represents the memory people have of us once we are no longer in… this world, and the right half shows how that memory fades away. Evocative and real, like life itself.
