Repurposing materials, in this case, artist tape with the colors of her palette, was the starting point of this series. By placing used tape in a single location before discarding it she wound up with this huge ‘mountain’ of used tape and photographed it as the studio light changed its character,… sometimes daily. Expansion No 6, a digital painting, expresses challenges we all experience ... entanglements we struggle to escape from, mysteries that draw us into the tension between light and dark where anything is possible. She wants viewers to be open to personal interpretation, connection, and reflection.
