About this artwork
From Greek mythology. Orpheus, who's beloved wife Eurydice had died and gone to the underworld. He couldn't live without her and went down after her to bring her back. He got permission from the Gods to do this on condition that during their ascent back to the living she did not look back.
In crafting this sculpture, I poured my passion for the transcendence and grace of human potential into molten bronze. The figure, dynamically poised, reaching… skyward, holds aloft a globe, symbolizing our collective reach towards knowledge and enlightenment. I envisioned this piece as a beacon of inspiration, embodying the spirit of ambition and the perpetual quest for greater heights. Its presence in any space is meant to evoke a sense of aspiration and infinite possibility.
