About this artwork
The Jungle Series was born from my fascination with the untamed beauty of nature and the emotions it stirs within us. As I created each piece, I wasn’t simply painting trees, leaves, or wildlife—I was exploring the hidden wilderness that exists within every one of us.
Whenever I step into a jungle, I feel a powerful sense of wonder. The dense layers of foliage, the play of light through the canopy, and the quiet mysteries concealed within the shadows… remind me of life’s journey. There are moments of growth, moments of uncertainty, and moments of breathtaking discovery.
Each pieces captures the beauty of the wild and reminds us that, like the jungle, we all navigate moments of uncertainty while finding our own path forward. My hope is that viewers not only see nature in these works but also find a reflection of their own experiences and inner strength.
Bianca Youngers is a self-taught painter based in Portland, Oregon, working primarily with acrylic on canvas and drawing on her background in Theatre Arts and visual storytelling. Her layered, abstract technique fuses organic forms with atmospheric spaces, informed by landscapes, botanical imagery, and geological formations, yielding compositions that balance the dreamlike with the grounded. Her paintings evoke spaces of reflection and wonder, inviting viewers to journey through grief, healing, and transformation while discovering curiosity, connection, and hope.
