About this artwork
Living with chronic illness has taught me that life rarely unfolds the way we expect. After years of navigating surgeries, setbacks, and healing, I began to see beauty in resilience and in the parts of ourselves that refuse to give up.
When I paint, I create worlds that exist somewhere between reality and imagination. The plants, flowers, and tangled forms in this piece are gathered from memory, emotions, and the natural world, growing together into… something unexpected. What may appear chaotic at first is actually a celebration of survival, transformation, and joy.
This painting is a reminder that even after difficult seasons, we can continue to grow, bloom, and become something fabulous. So Let’s Stop Second Guessing.
Bianca Youngers is a self-taught painter based in Portland, Oregon, working primarily with acrylic on canvas and drawing on her background in Theatre Arts and visual storytelling. Her layered, abstract technique fuses organic forms with atmospheric spaces, informed by landscapes, botanical imagery, and geological formations, yielding compositions that balance the dreamlike with the grounded. Her paintings evoke spaces of reflection and wonder, inviting viewers to journey through grief, healing, and transformation while discovering curiosity, connection, and hope.
