About this artwork
"Inside the brick" is an original painting from my series "Lego world", which explores our connection with childhood, the culture of mass toys and what is hidden behind the facade of familiar images.
This image reveals the inner world of the iconic lego figure - literally and metaphorically. Every day we "assemble ourselves" from separate parts: social roles, memories, identities. Like a designer, inside us there is a skeleton of a structure that… is not visible from the outside, but which holds us together.
The bright background emphasizes the contrast between the cheerful childish shell and the deep, even anatomical truth. In a world where everything seems plastic and flawlessly smooth, this work reminds us: even in the simplest object - there is a story, an inner world, vulnerability.
This work is also an ironic commentary on modern consumerism, when even the human body becomes stylized, unified, modular.
In "Inside the brick," humor borders on philosophy.
