About this artwork
An original upcycling work made from a mosaic of colored aluminum squares, cut from cans collected everywhere. These "pixels" are stapled onto a PVC panel (a support recovered from printing shops), without adding paint.
Landscape of the Mare Longue primary forest, where one of the rare centuries-old "lean woods" stands.
Created in 2007, the Réunion National Natural Park encompasses the island's primary forests, giving them protection and a capacity… for development that most of the world's primary forests unfortunately do not have.
Buying committed art and upcycling means supporting an artist's approach that wants to be part of the solutions rather than the problem.
