About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the contrast between the strength of the sea and the serenity it can inspire.
The reliefs, enhanced by gold leaf and small golden nuggets, bring the rocks and waves to life.
The washes create a striking depth, both in the sky and in the sea.
Through a mixture of acrylic, collage, gilding and ink, I imagined a horizon where waves collide under a tumultuous sky.
This work, mounted on a canvas glued to wood and… framed with wood glued on the back and painted in dark blue. Weighs approximately 5 kg.
Work that received the special jury prize at the Illange Arts Fair.
