About this artwork
Cordis Vinculum is a work about the indissoluble bond between two souls. In this sculpture, two anatomical hearts merge into one – connected by a single golden vein, symbolizing love, healing, and the beauty of togetherness. The black surface represents depth and the unspoken, while the texture paste deliberately introduces irregularities and roughness: for even what connects them is not always smooth or light.
I'm fascinated by how relationships… are often imperfect, yet are made special precisely by their fractures and peculiarities. The golden vein is reminiscent of the Japanese kintsugi technique – gold doesn't hide something broken, but rather makes it more valuable. This is how every love, every connection, becomes unique.
