About this artwork
"Cordis Mentis" means something like "heart of the mind" – and that's exactly what I want to express with this work. I've fused an anatomical heart with a human brain. It represents the connection between emotion and reason, between intuition and the world of thought.
The glossy surface evokes something alchemical—as if the heart were undergoing a mystical transformation. The golden base with small hearts symbolizes the roots of our emotions. Every… detail was crafted with a brush, airbrush, 3D printing, and a great deal of patience.
I want this work to touch people—and perhaps also disturb them a little. My hearts seek out the people they belong to. And if this work speaks deeply to someone, then I know it has found its person.
