About this artwork
In my work I explore the fragility and vulnerability of human existence, expressed through the shape of the anatomical heart.
In Cordis Corruptio, I explore the tension between life and decay. The heart, as a symbol of emotion and vitality, becomes a site of transformation – permeated, altered, and slowly influenced from the outside.
The interwoven forms create a feeling of inner conflict, revealing both beauty and unease. The work suggests that… even the core of our being is not immune to change, erosion, or external influences.
Through structure, materiality and contrasts, a physically perceptible effect is created, inviting engagement with transience and emotional depth.
The artwork is made on an aluminum composite panel and has integrated mounting points on the back for direct wall mounting.
