About this artwork
Gustav Klimt's Judith does not resemble the brave and virtuous depictions of his fellow artists, but he sees her as a seductress with a sensually open mouth and a lustful look. I am not surprised, because his muse and model, Adele, was also his lover.
In my collage, Adele can be herself again. A new outfit and sunglasses give her a completely new perspective. Suddenly she is cool instead of sensual!
She looks forward to a new era with confidence.…
I really enjoy playing with a fictional female perspective. How would the models have liked to portray themselves?
