About this artwork
This artwork is more than a representation - it is my story. The white glasses I wear show not only my view of the world, but also my decision: their lenses reflect a burning boat and a burning bridge, symbols of everything I have left behind. These flames do not represent loss, but liberation - a conscious burning of the past to give myself the opportunity to go my way forward without doubt and without turning back.
In my hand I hold the atom… symbol - a symbol of the knowledge that guides me, of the creative power that lies within me and of the immeasurable energy that finds expression in my art. It stands for my ability to shape my own world.
My ear is adorned with an earring in the shape of a DNA spiral – not only a symbol of my origins, but of my spiritual essence.
Constantina Seracin is a self-taught artist specializing in surrealist art. In 2022, she left her management position at a supermarket to pursue her dream of becoming an artist. By 2023, she had participated in her first group exhibition in Bad Tölz, which led to a contract with a renowned gallery. Her work has been featured in Merkur magazine and published in the Belgian art magazine L'Eventail. Artist interview in Sfumato Art Magazine New York + Solo exhibition / 2025 Group exhibition, Sakku Art Gallery/Dubai
Another highlight followed in 2024: The artist won the ArtdeSuisse Cosmopolitan Prize, which included an exhibition in Lucerne and a feature in the spring issue of ArtdeSuisse. Her surreal works, characterized by vibrant colors and profound symbols, blend reality with fantasy and invite reflection.
