About this artwork
In the top right corner of the picture there is a closed window. There is a dead fly on the windowsill - a symbol of exhaustion, of blindly clinging to a path that doesn't work. Just a little further to the left there is an open door, a way out, an unused opportunity.
At the center of the scene, a little girl sits on the floor. But instead of accepting reality as it is, she paints a different picture. In her world, the fly finds the open door and… flies to freedom. The child sees what the fly - and with it so many people - did not see: an alternative.
This art scene speaks about more than just hope. It shows that courage often means stopping and daring to look at things from a different perspective. Recognizing that we may be at a dead end. Having the courage not only to carry on, but to consciously take a different direction.

Her work has been featured in Merkur magazine and published in the Belgian art magazine L'Eventail.

Another highlight followed in 2024: The artist won the ArtdeSuisse Cosmopolitan Prize, which included an exhibition in Lucerne and a feature in the spring issue of ArtdeSuisse. Her surreal works, characterized by vibrant colors and profound symbols, blend reality with fantasy and invite reflection.
