About this artwork
The image is layered with the people, architecture and colors of the city. The city holds possibility with every person and moment that passes. The image consists of layers. Photos are taken with a Canon camera and layered with textures and colors digitally. The image is then printed onto 100% cotton acid-free fine art paper using premium archival inks and mounted onto a wood panel with 1.5" sides. Next the artist paints on the print with acrylic… paint to enhance the feeling of emotion as from a warm memory. The artwork is finished off with wax for protection and another layering effect.
« In loving my neighbor, I seek to capture and convey the uniqueness of every person to hopefully inspire others to stop and linger with those we come in contact with. »
Debbie Pacheco's paintings capture a fleeting moment. The American artist creates scenes with differing degrees of focus and realism. Pacheco describes the cities where she travels as the backdrops for her compositions. Her artistic expression is influenced by people, their stories, the cities where she observes them, and the connections they share. She creates using oils on canvas, paper, or wood.
