Walking in New York, the people busy coming and going. Each person is focused and headed somewhere. This gives the viewer time to observe and take in those around them and wonder where they came from and where they are going. The photos are taken with a Canon camera and layered with additional photography, textures and colors. This adds to the beauty and depth that can be found in the day. The image is then printed onto 100% cotton acid-free fine… art paper using premium archival inks and mounted onto a wood panel with 1.5" sides. Several layers of encaustic wax are then added for protection and effect.
« In loving my neighbor, I seek to capture and convey the uniqueness of every person to hopefully inspire others to stop and linger with those we come in contact with. »
Debbie Pacheco's paintings capture a fleeting moment. The American artist creates scenes with differing degrees of focus and realism. Pacheco describes the cities where she travels as the backdrops for her compositions. Her artistic expression is influenced by people, their stories, the cities where she observes them, and the connections they share. She creates using oils on canvas, paper, or wood.
