About this artwork
I made this piece specifically for Robert Plant. I tried to depict a graphic conceptual image of Robert Plant's songs when he was with Led Zeppelin. I captured what I felt when listening to them. I spent several weeks creating various drawings, under the influence of Led Zeppelin's music, until I achieved what you see.
I gave a duplicate of this piece to Robert Plant in 2003 when he came to our city for a concert. This happened at the press conference… before the concert (see photo). In return, he gave me a limited edition CD with his signature. In the photo, you can see him signing the CD, while my piece lies on the table. It was a magical encounter with a rock legend.
Now I've decided to recreate this piece, and if you order it before I finish it, you'll have to wait a while.

In his work, familiar objects lose their recognizability; reflections and the distortion of light and shadow transform them into indeterminate forms. The artist’s distinctive style was shaped by a medical condition—visual agnosia—which causes a periodic loss of the ability to recognize objects.
