In my painting, the lilies float peacefully on the water in the pond, inviting you to stop and enjoy the simple beauty of the garden. It’s a quiet, calming scene where these flowers will always stay open, always in bloom. The still water and soft colours make you feel relaxed like time has slowed down, giving you a chance to just breathe and take it all in. It’s a reminder that nature’s beauty is always there, waiting for us to notice and enjoy.

Emil Kasymov is an artist based in Kyrgyzstan whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Denmark. He believes that art cannot exist without meaning and that each composition is imbued with an aura that one feels instead of sees. Often creating a painting, Kasymov will sometimes spend up to three days in nature to fully "hear and feel" before beginning a piece.
