About this artwork
This painting captures a moment of quiet anticipation in a lush mountain meadow just before the rain begins. The sky is overcast, with clouds gathering in preparation for the coming storm. The foreground is alive with a vibrant array of blue, purple, and white wildflowers. These flowers, nurtured by the earth and the impending rain, blanket the hillside in a vivid tapestry, symbolizing the beauty that thrives even in the shadow of a storm.
As your… gaze moves toward the horizon, the meadow gives way to a dense forest of towering evergreen trees, standing solemnly under the misty, gray sky. The trees, dark and sturdy, embody resilience and endurance, a reminder that strength can be found in all seasons and weather.
The painting is more than just a landscape; it's a reflection on the value of rain and the less celebrated moments in life. Rain brings with it renewal, growth, and a unique kind of peace.
« I am an artist who believes in nature and its power. I can hear nature's voice. »
Emil Kasymov is an artist based in Kyrgyzstan whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Denmark. He believes that art cannot exist without meaning and that each composition is imbued with an aura that one feels instead of sees. Often creating a painting, Kasymov will sometimes spend up to three days in nature to fully "hear and feel" before beginning a piece.
