About this artwork

This path winds through the mountains. The cold, fresh mountain air carries the scent of flowers and damp earth. A narrow path winds through the grass, leading deeper into nature’s beauty to the small forest.

The wildflowers here are special-there are warriors. They grow high. Their colours bright against the green. Red, yellow, purple—they dance with the wind, glowing under the open sky.

Clouds slowly drift around the snow-covered peaks, but the… mountains stand timeless. Walking this path makes you think about how many places there are in the world, each with its own air, colours, landscapes and stories waiting to be seen.

Emil Kasymov is an artist based in Kyrgyzstan whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Denmark. He believes that art cannot exist without meaning and that each composition is imbued with an aura that one feels instead of sees. Often creating a painting, Kasymov will sometimes spend up to three days in nature to fully "hear and feel" before beginning a piece.
