About this artwork
This work from the MOVING SILENCE series was created in autumn 2022
It is a repaint of an antique painting which originally showed a lake shore in pale colors with some boats.
The spectrum of this work is playful and clear at the same time.
At first glance we see two luminous horizontal surfaces in turquoise and pink. These are very lively and diverse in detail. Drawn ornaments can be seen in the background. Fine lines and washed-out areas are… reminiscent of an old ornate carpet. Depending on the incidence of light, transparent golden glazes shine.
Canvas and frame appear to be originally from the 60's/70's. Accordingly, the canvas is nailed. Mounting pads were currently used to connect the frame and canvas.
Please also note the detailed pictures!
There are two recessed hanging loops on the back.
A matt varnish protects the work from the effects of light.
