About this artwork
This drawing is inspired by the seed heads of the moon violet. I found these delicate beauties on a winter walk and was so captivated by the luminosity of the seed heads against the gray-brown winter forest that I took some branches home. This discovery inspired several artworks, including this loose, lively drawing in ink pens and acrylic ink. I wanted to emphasize the plant's delicacy and the movement of the seed heads, as well as convey my joy…
