About this artwork
Aureole is part of my Haloform series, exploring the moment fluid movement begins to resemble an organic, almost celestial structure. Layers of blush pink, lilac, deep violet and pearlescent white gather around a central ribbon-like current, opening into delicate cellular lacework and branching traces.
The composition moves between intricacy and stillness. Dense areas of movement gradually dissolve into luminous space, while the central form appears… suspended somewhere between a bloom, a membrane and a halo caught in motion. I am drawn to the feeling that the image has been discovered rather than designed: a fleeting formation shaped by pressure, flow and light.
