My art is inspired by Africa and it’s magnificent wildlife and people. Seeing tribe people’s silhouettes in the blistering summer haze enthused me to branch out into human figurative.
This bronze sculpture portrays a young Maasai girl, adorned in traditional attire with beads around her neck. Her posture is calm and composed, and the etched patterns on her clothing reflect cultural traditions passed down through… generations.
Her expression is one of quiet strength and dignity, suggesting the resilience of her people and the pride she carries in her heritage. The details in her adornment and stance highlight the importance of identity and belonging in Maasai culture.
