About this artwork
This work also involves several processes. The first image was a Polaroid of a church portal. Using a process I developed, I removed the Polaroid from its developing frame and further processed it. Then, once the Polaroid had become transparent, I placed it on white paper and spread dark raw wool over it in a cross shape. I photographed the resulting object again. a plastic floater frame. I filled the gaps in the frame with crocheted coconut rope. The artwork can stand on its own or be combined to form an altar consisting of 10 images. This special treatment makes the work an original. There may be a prototype for exhibition purposes; this will then remain in my possession and not for sale.
