About this artwork
The work is a mise-en-scène with old ladies' gloves in an overgrown window frame. I photographed this with a Polaroid camera. Using a process I developed, the Polaroid is removed from its developing frame. The transparent Polaroid is further processed and glued to a new support. The resulting object is photographed again. It is then lightly digitally edited and printed on canvas with a stretcher in a plastic floater frame. I filled the gaps in the…
frame with raw wool beads. The artwork can stand alone or be combined to form an altar consisting of 10 images. This special treatment makes the work an original. A prototype may be made for exhibition purposes; this will then remain in my possession and not for sale.
