About this artwork
In this picture, painted with high-quality acrylic paints in shades of blue, green and pink, I see an abstract water lily pond. Inspired by Gerhard Richter's squeegee technique, I applied layer after layer of acrylic paints to the square canvas, so that colors were partially covered and translucent layers of color allowed the layers underneath to shine through. In some places, pearl colors in blue were used, which shine through more or less depending…
on the incidence of light.
