Strange things can happen at midnight. The world is quiet, but a sense of 'anything is possible' hangs in the air. Dance on the roof? sing out loud? Laugh at the idea of 'reality'? all is possible. This painting has that vibe, a wilder side that is evident in the color choices and odd shapes.
In person, you can see the use of metallic bronze and gold, worked in with the other colors, which contrasts with the dark shapes and electric yellow object… on the lower right. I combined organic shapes with architectural ones in a composition that move the eye around the canvas and punch deep spacial holes that invite the viewer to dance away into the dark.
