About this artwork
In this canvas, I poured my soul with acrylics, colored pencils, and graphite to craft a dance of abstraction. affected the world. I read Simon Winchester's book "Land, How the Hunger for Ownership Shaped the World". It is a fascinating read, and it illuminated many things for me, among them whose idea it was to expand west beyond the Mississippi. I think about our Native American population and also the people of the Middle East, including the Jews who historically dwelled there for centuries and the constant fighting. As with all of my work, these concerns get blended into my brain and I create something that expresses my deepest emotions. #blue
