About this artwork
This piece called to me from an earlier work. I have been enveloped in my Territories Blue series, and because this is one that got reworked into the series because it wanted that, I gave in to my piece and said "okay, now you are included, how does it feel?"
My piece reflected upon my words and said "Being included feels good but that doesn't stop these wars from happening, why can't you make them stop?" I listened with patience as one does with… one's own child, in this case, my creative child, and I answered "Because I am not God. I am sorry that I cannot stop wars, I can only reflect upon my own civilizations refusal to make peace."
Jaye Alison Moscariello harnesses water-based mediums like acrylic and watercolor, influenced by a creative upbringing and artistic journey. Through abstraction and intuitive color selection, she captures the interplay between forms, with lines that articulate deep-seated emotions. Her art resonates with joy and upliftment, transforming personal and worldly complexities into visual harmony.
