About this artwork
I travel extensively and collect so called "primitive" artwork as I go. I have spent much time in Mexico and collect the carved animals (Alebriges) there from the masters in Oaxaca. 2 of these animals are the stag and lizard featured here and collected 30 years ago. I love there poses and expressions. For artistic purposes I have changed them up a bit and applied my own patterns and colors to their forms. The background is original and created by…
