About this artwork
All of my work is bonded by color and movement, not matter the style. Zenith, from 2015, exemplifies this and also speaks of the sheer beauty of line in a language of dimension and depth.
This particular painting has stayed with me for several years because of my particular bond to it. The work was completed in the midst of a severe storm, surrounded by wild wind, hail and rain. I was covered on 3 sides but water and wind poured in the 4th. The… power was out, so I worked continuously in the beautiful grey/green light . The composition was intoxicating to me and the color radiated in the storm's light. It is hard to explain, but one of the greatest painting sessions of my career. The end result was Zenith.
