About this artwork
I was drawn to that blend of strength and calm, of volume and silence. The pelican ceases to be merely an animal and becomes a presence, almost a figure frozen in space, where light, texture, and gesture are enough to construct the image.

My photographic work encompasses various themes: landscape, architecture, travel… I seek compositions with a clear, uncluttered visual language, so that once the work is finished, I want to feel that I am no longer needed. I believe that all my works can be understood by the viewer without any explanation from me, with a few exceptions where the title provides additional information. My creative process, purely emotional and introspective, could be summarized by a term, possibly invented, that I used to title my first solo exhibition: “introvision.”
Introvision: The result of the collision between beauty and perception. After a period of collapse, the brain, overwhelmed by experience, loses its need for control and, driven by unknown neural forces, pours all its energy into a single objective: to return to reality a tangible object, an object capable of reminding it that to live is to feel.
