About this artwork
In "Do Not Disturb," I was interested in that feeling of instant, complete surrender: closing your eyes, letting go, and disappearing for a few seconds from everything happening around you. The image has a sense of pause, but also of humor, because there's an almost human quality to that way of surrendering to rest. The black and white eliminates any distractions and focuses the gaze on the gesture, the texture, and that small scene of well-being.…
Sometimes, doing nothing can also be a perfect way of being in the world.

My photographic work encompasses various themes: landscape, architecture, travel… I seek compositions with a clear, uncluttered visual language, so that once the work is finished, I want to feel that I am no longer needed. I believe that all my works can be understood by the viewer without any explanation from me, with a few exceptions where the title provides additional information. My creative process, purely emotional and introspective, could be summarized by a term, possibly invented, that I used to title my first solo exhibition: “introvision.”
Introvision: The result of the collision between beauty and perception. After a period of collapse, the brain, overwhelmed by experience, loses its need for control and, driven by unknown neural forces, pours all its energy into a single objective: to return to reality a tangible object, an object capable of reminding it that to live is to feel.
