About this artwork
This work portrays the irresistible nature of love. The figure, suspended by a red heart-shaped balloon, is involuntarily pulled upward, regardless of their own will. The expressionless face and limp posture of the figure convey a state where one has no control over direction or circumstance.
This piece does not idealize or sentimentally celebrate love. Instead, it observes how the emotion of love can overpower individual will and rational structures,… ultimately reshaping them. Love, beyond emotional elevation, has the power to fundamentally reorganize human existence, transcending personal plans and social norms. In this sense, love can be understood not merely as an emotion, but as an unavoidable force.
Love operates in ways that defy explanation or prediction, and at times, it leads life onto an entirely different trajectory. This work offers a perspective on such irreversible transformations.
