About this artwork
OPEN MINDED was the beginning. The first work in my HUMAN STRIPES® series. And perhaps also the first moment in which I felt how much art can become an act of liberation.
The head in the image is open. Upward. Inward. As if something were breaking open. Releasing a limitation. That's exactly what I wanted to show: the moment when we're ready to let go of old ways of thinking. Not out of rebellion, but because it feels right.
The stripes on the… face aren't censorship. They're part of the process. Protection and opening at the same time. Like thoughts that layer, organize, and change.
For me, OPEN MINDED was a promise to myself: I'm allowed to think differently. I'm allowed to be more than I've been taught. And you can do the same.
Original artwork, unique. Sold with certificate of authenticity.

« The more curious we are, the more creative we become »
My work explores the tension between identity, body, concealment, and transformation.
I don't understand painting as a representation, but as a space for inner movement. As a place where that which cannot be captured becomes visible.
I work in series that develop organically during the process, not from pre-existing concepts. Material plays a central role: acrylic, texture, gold leaf, platinum, and mixed media are not merely decorative elements, but carriers of meaning.
Concealment is not a retreat. It is a deliberate act. It creates distance, protection, and a new way of reading.
Faces and bodies do not appear as surfaces for identification, but rather as spaces for projection. I understand identity not as a state, but as a process, characterized by the tension between visibility and withdrawal.
