About this artwork
Three red crowned cranes fly over Hokkaido in a thick snowstorm. Their harmony is impressive. While the crane in front flaps its wings, the other two glide along in apparent silence.
Cold and snow have transformed the conifer tree on the bottom right into a dreamlike work of art. It remains still, unnoticed by the cranes. It is the only static element. Peace in movement.
The cranes also follow their nature - they fly restlessly, without a permanent… place to stay...
