About this artwork
The remains of a castle's staircase made of red sandstone appear, sweeping upwards. It is artfully crafted, turning to the right where it ends abruptly.
The goal and fulfillment of the dream vision is the symbol of Yin and Yang: sun, moon and the unity of a loving couple.
Pencils dominate the artistic implementation. Only the red sandstone of the right-hand masonry shows color. The daisy at the top of the stairs only appears through the blue of… the sky.
Daisies, ribwort and grasses in the foreground speak of the time, the present, when nature was victorious over architecture.
But at the end of the stairs the longing remains...
