About this artwork
A camellia fills the room. Coming from the center of the picture, it explodes and draws the eye to the centered interior of the flower. The yellow stamens, some of which are still hidden, grow from the enveloping petals. These open up, striving outwards, revealing all the magic of an opening beauty.
With pencils of different strengths and only delicately accentuated here and there on the petals, this camellia lives on the white of the drawing cardboard.…
