About this artwork
The image is entitled AcerBlu and formed part of my 'abstract period' enforced by Covid. I looked out at the garden where an Acer Tree was turning colour in the autumn. It was the starting point for this image, but most unusually I added a layer of colour, the blue, and it pleased me so much that not only is this a particularly special framed print presentation it also features as my most popular silk scarf.
So what's unusual about the presentation?…
The image is framed in an 'ArtBox frame' made of glazed aluminium. It is a super sophisticated and modern look, with a light weight silver ArtBox and comes with a pre-mounted hanging system. Its a format I really like and will probably use more frequently.
There is also an Artist's Proof available unframed
Kate Lloyd is a photographer trained under acclaimed artists, most notably Jonathan Chritchley of Ocean Capture. She employs abstract and verismo styles, using multiple exposures to transform images of horses, water, and Venetian scenes into vibrant compositions, often presented as acrylics or luxury silk scarves. Her work radiates a profound appreciation for the untamed spirit of horses and the luminous mystery of water, evoking both tranquility and wonder.
