About this artwork
I have a small series of acrylic presentations in my bathroom. This is one of them, It features a Multiple exposure image of waves, lichen and silver birch bark. It was part of a project I completed during lockdown in 2019, when my usual travel to capture subjects I love was seriously curtailed. There was a collection of silver birch trees near my house which allowed me some creative freedom

Kate Lloyd is a photographer trained under acclaimed artists, most notably Jonathan Chritchley of Ocean Capture. She employs abstract and verismo styles, using multiple exposures to transform images of horses, water, and Venetian scenes into vibrant compositions, often presented as acrylics or luxury silk scarves. Her work radiates a profound appreciation for the untamed spirit of horses and the luminous mystery of water, evoking both tranquility and wonder.
