About this artwork
In 2022 I had the opportunity to ride in a helicopter with no doors, over the salt flats in the South of France.
This picture of the salt flats is one of several resulting from that trip. I am struck by the texture and shapes within the salt such that at first glance you really can't guess what it is.
The colours are incredible and my understanding is that they are created by the presence of bacteria which like to live in salty conditions.
I was… extremely excited by the many shapes and colours and have a series of several Saltscapes (as I have chosen to call them).
This is one, but there are several others also for sale here.
Although this is presented as a traditional paper based print I know that it would look wonderful in acrylic and this can be done on request.
