I was intrigued to find this door which is almost identical to one I saw and photographed on the island of Burano. I wondered if there was a particular architect who likes this type of door, or maybe it is a cost effective option for a cash strapped owner.
The one in Burano has the benefit of a black cat outside, so perhaps that's a lucky door?
There's so much history behind these doors I find myself wondering what events have taken place behind… them which might be important or interesting. Who knows?
Kate Lloyd is a photographer trained under acclaimed artists, most notably Jonathan Chritchley of Ocean Capture. She employs abstract and verismo styles, using multiple exposures to transform images of horses, water, and Venetian scenes into vibrant compositions, often presented as acrylics or luxury silk scarves. Her work radiates a profound appreciation for the untamed spirit of horses and the luminous mystery of water, evoking both tranquility and wonder.
