About this artwork
Where the Light Lives in the Water IN A BOAT
Water, in its form as a constantly changing canvas of light, movement, and reflection, is the basis of the series "Where Light Dwells in Water." The canvas is metal—a reflective surface whose reflections are reminiscent of water and from which the inspiration for the images originates. Photographs of water surfaces are artistically processed, printed, and transferred in multiple layers onto the metal… using dissolved pigments. The process is then further developed with paints, inks, and various painting techniques—until complete.
The resulting works are like an ode to water – to its polyphony, currents, and the interplay of light, color, and movement. The paintings transform in the light, especially in the sun, and carry the vibrant beauty of water into the room – like a flowing symphony of light, color, and movement.

BECAUSE I CAN'T SING IT, I DRAW IT.
Music was my first language. As a musician and composer, I learned early on that sounds evoke images – inner landscapes, memories, and stories. This experience continues to shape my artistic work today.
Rhythm, tension, silence, or resonance seek a form. I follow this process.
I compose color. Pictorial spaces that develop like a musical score. I make music on the canvas.
Abstraction and figuration – spaces for personal perception. I am interested in the moment when a picture begins to make itself felt and emotionally reaches the viewer – be it through tranquility, irritation, joy, or memory.
Original music is composed specifically for selected works. Image and sound are not merely complementary – they are a single work.
My work is aimed at people who are willing to listen to images.
