About this artwork
In this work (part of a three-piece series), the intensity of the ink, the softness of the chalk, and the precision of the paint pen blend into a dynamic abstraction. The materials represent not only technical but also symbolic emotional states: the ink adds depth and immediacy, the chalk softens the contours, while the graphite moves through the composition like a controlling thought.
A central element is the repeating circular blob of color –… a seemingly perfect form that stands out clearly from the rest of the free play of lines and surfaces. This circle is more than a formal accent: it marks a counterpoint, a moment of tension within the harmonious structure. It reminds us that every harmony also contains disharmony, that every balance is challenged by a disruption. Ultimately, it's always about finding balance.
