The work "District 24/4" is the fourth in the "Districts" series created in 2024.
The subject here is a fictitious harbor situation. The picture surface is framed in a geometric structure of indigo-blue, glittering water surfaces. The geometry of the work is reinforced by roads, pipelines, silos and buildings. These are anthropomorphic structures that are not otherwise found in nature, but represent typical features of modern civilization. The ambivalence… between constructivist composition and realism is visible here again.
